This is a collaborative project with my mother, who wrote the story. I designed and did illustrations to give it a visual appeal that corresponds to the text. The story is historical fiction, and it teaches a moral at the end.
A short summary of the story: It is based in El Cayo, Belize in the 20th century. There is a wealthy man who resides in the town, and he owns a lot of land and animals. One day, a strange visitor appears in the town and asks the man for food. He declines to share anything because he is stingy. The old man disappears making the wealthy man wary. Without warning, a plague of locusts devours his crops. Nothing is saved.
